Homonyms are words that have different meanings but are spelled or pronounced the same.

Homophones (meaning “same sound”)are words that are PRONOUNCED the SAME but have different meanings, often with different spellingsHere are some more examples of homophones:

Homographs are words that are SPELLED the SAME but may have a different or a same Pronunciation with DIFFERENT meanings. Example: ring: jewellery worn on a finger and ring: call someone on the phone

·        Bear (animal) and bear (to carry)

·        Bat (flying mammal) and bat (sports equipment)

·        Kind   (sympathetic, helpful) and kind (type)
